The four sacred medicines and their meanings

Tobacco, sage, sweetgrass and cedar — the four medicines carried in the directions of the Medicine Wheel, and the teachings that come with each.

    Considered the first and most powerful sacred medicine, used to communicate with the Creator, offer gratitude, and open prayers.
